Joffre Peak is located in the southwestern part of British Columbia, Canada. Specifically, it can be found approximately 26 kilometers (16 miles) to the east of Pemberton and 11 kilometers (7 miles) northeast of the picturesque Lillooet Lake. What sets Joffre Peak apart is not just its elevation, but also its remarkable prominence relative to the surrounding landscape. The summit of Joffre Peak soars 1,500 meters (4,920 feet) above the serene waters of Cayoosh Creek, all within a relatively short distance of just 4 kilometers (2.5 miles). The trail starts out pretty flat but gradually climbs up through the forest. The trail is fairly dynamic with rocks and roots to step over. There is one section that does get a bit steep and requires you to go up large steps, but nothing too difficult. Take as many breaks as you need!In the winter of course, all three of the Joffre Lakes are frozen over but the trail is popular with skiers and snowshoers between the months of November and April. It is situated 26 km (16 mi) east of Pemberton and 11 km (7 mi) northeast of Lillooet Lake.
